Unimaginably Huge Numbers

Hello everyone! Today, in this article, we will be talking about some unimaginably huge numbers, some of which can only be expressed in exponent form. On the other hand, I would like to apologize for not writing or posting anything since the beginning of January, as I had taken some time off.

We all know the basic big numbers, such as million, billion, trillion and for those who don’t know the value of these numbers, you should read my blog post about the American number system and the old British number system. Trillion, ten trillion, and hundred trillion are the stopping point for most individuals, they do not know any huge number beyond the trillions even have a name! If you are one of those people, then this article is for you, where we will be exploring ginormous quantities which are unimaginable.

Ten times a hundred trillion is a quadrillion, also known as a thousand trillion. A quadrillion is one followed by fifteen zeroes, or 1015. Then, we have a quintillion, or thousand quadrillion, or a million trillion, which is a one followed by eighteen zeroes, or 1018. After that, we have a sextillion (equal to thousand quintillion, million quadrillion, billion trillion) which is one followed by twenty-one zeroes, or 1021. After that we have a septillion (equal to a thousand sextillion, million quintillion, billion quadrillion, or a trillion trillion) which is one followed by 24 zeroes, or 1024. Next, we have an octillion (equal to thousand septillion, million sextillion, billion quintillion, trillion quadrillion, quadrillion trillion, quintillion billion, or sextillion million) which is one followed by 27 zeroes, or 1027. After that, we have a nonillion (equal to thousand octillion) which is one followed by thirty zeroes, or 1030. Then, we have a decillion (equal to thousand nonillion) which is one followed by 33, or 1033. There are so many more numbers which will be shown in the table below:

Name: UndecillionEqual to: Thousand DecillionValue: 1036
Name: DuodecillionEqual to: Thousand UndecillionValue: 1039
Name: TredecillionEqual to: Thousand DuodecillionValue: 1042
Name: Quattuordecillion Equal to: Thousand TredecillionValue: 1045
Name: QuindecillionEqual to: Thousand quattuordecillionValue: 1048
Name: Sexdecillion Equal to: Thousand quindecillionValue: 1051
Name: Septendecillion Equal to: Thousand sexdecillionValue: 1054
Name: Octodecillion Equal to: Thousand septendecillionValue: 1057
Name: NovemdecillionEqual to: Thousand octodecillionValue: 1060
Name: Vigintillion Equal to: Thousand novemdecillionValue: 1063
Name: Unvigintillion Equal to: Thousand vigintillionValue: 1066
Name: DuovigintillionEqual to: Thousand UnvigintillionValue: 1069
Name: TrevigintillionEqual to: Thousand DuovigintillionValue: 1072
Name: QuattuorvigintillionEqual to: Thousand TrevigintillionValue: 1075
Name: QuinvigintillionEqual to: Thousand quattuorvigintillionValue: 1078
Name: SexvigintillionEqual to: Thousand quinvigintillionValue: 1081
Name: SeptenvigintillionEqual to: Thousand sexvigintillionValue: 1083
Name: Octovigintillion Equal to: Thousand septenvigintillionValue: 1087
Name: Novemvigintillion Equal to: Thousand octovigintillion Value: 1090
Name: TrigintillionEqual to: Thousand novemvigintillionValue: 1093
Name: UntrigintillionEqual to: Thousand Trigintillion Value: 1096
Name: Duotrigintillion Equal to: Thousand UntrogintillionValue: 1099

We have now reached 10^99. Instead of directly skipping to 10^120 (tretrigintillion), we have a googol, which is 10^100. Googol is a very famous number, and it is even known by those who are not well-versed in or interested in mathematics. In fact, the name of the search engine Google, was actually a misspelling of the number googol by its founders. In simpler terms, Google, is in actuality, namesake of the number, googol. After googol, we have ten googol, or hundred duotrigintillion, after which we have a thousand googol, or a tretrigintillion. This sort of a pattern continues indefinitely, so we shall take a look at a much greater number, known as a googolplex. Googolplex, equal to 10^10^100, or one followed by a googol zeroes. Moving on, we have a number so incomprehensively great that it is equal to 10^10^10^100, which means it is followed by a googolplex zeroes! Such a number is known as googolplexian or googolplexplex. We can keep moving on indefinitely.

I hope all of you enjoyed reading this article. Thank you for reading my blog and I will see you in the next article.
